MJ Kobernus is an Anglo/American novelist writing fantasy and science fiction. For the last two decades he has lived in Norway, but in 2018 he resumed residency in the US.
MJ was always an adventurer. He has traveled extensively, with many motorcycle trips through Europe, endless journeys by train through the Near East and he has sailied a felucca through much of Egypt. For several years he lived aboard a sailboat with his family in Annapolis, Maryland and you can read about that in his book, Sell Up & Sail Away.
MJ attended the University of Birmingham, UK, as a mature student where he studied History, English Lit & Lang, as well as Old English and Old Norsk languages. Elements of these interests can be found in his writing, so consider yourself warned.
MJ has a distinct leaning towards the metaphysical, which is a frequent theme in his work and underpins the Guardian series extensively.
He has authored several novels, the first of which, 'Blood in the Sand,' a unique blend of Metaphysical Fantasy and Historical Fiction, was published in August, 2015. The second in the series, 'Blood in the Snow,' came out in 2016 and the third is expected in 2022.
He has also written the sci-fi novel, 'Blue Water,' and the epic semi-autobiographical, 'Sell up, and Sail Away,' both of which were published in 2018.
