Donna Thorpe

My name is Donna Thorpe. I was born in southern California, where I have lived all my life. During my seventh grade year of school, I developed an interest in reading and writing poetry. In the late 1980's and early 1990, I was published in several anthologies, where I received four Editor's Choice Awards. I was also a contributor in Best Poet's of 1988 as well. In 2003, I was a contributing poet in one edition of the book entitled; "The Colors of Life," by the International Library of Poetry. My inspiration for this book is derived from a deep faith and love of God. One of the poems in this book, also highlights my struggle with breast cancer in 2006. I am a survivor, and, I thank God each day for His blessings in my life.

My husband, Paul and I are newlyweds. We enjoy a close relationship with our Christian brothers and sisters, our family and friends, who are all blessings in our lives. I am truly honored and blessed to share my heart and poetry with all of you.

It is my prayer that the poetry within the pages of my book, will touch your heart. I hope that you will also feel a close connection with God through this book.

May God bless and keep you,

Thank you,

Donna Thorpe
