Anthony Hogger

Anthony Hogger was born in London in 1957. He now lives in Almerķa, Spain, with his wife Jan. His novels

grow from a deep interest in the ordinary people who found themselves trapped inside extraordinary and

brutal moments of history. After extensive research into the German occupation of the Channel Islands

and the transports to Auschwitz, he wrote The Jackal of Auschwitz to follow one young woman’s path from

Vienna to Guernsey and finally into the camp, where the man who had already tried to destroy her once

appears again, this time wearing an SS uniform. His earlier books, Warrior King Legacy and If Fish Had a

Wishbone, explore the same questions of endurance, courage, and the cost of survival. Tony writes to

give voice to those who refused to be broken.
