Beatrice Walsh

林玉蓮，1966年出生於臺北，三寶弟子，但也淨信所有宗教只要基本上不違背不殺、不偷、不淫，都可勸人為善，而不相排斥。已婚，育有二子，目前住在英國。鑒於許多國人對於佛經的不瞭解，因此發願將大藏經選取部分改寫為白話故事書，以利讓更多的人能夠感受到佛陀的慈悲。佛經最初基本上是佛陀的弟子，把記憶裡面發生過的事，導師講過的話，一一抄寫紀錄。所以在佛經的記載上面，其實都是故事，裡面都會記載參加的人，所在的地點，佛陀的開示等等。作者希望是《白話佛經故事》系列，能夠讓大眾對大藏經有種一覽無遺親切的感受，拉近自己與佛陀的距離。

Beatrice Walsh, maiden name Lin, born in Taipei in 1966, married with two children, currently lives in London. It is the author’s wishes to complete the project of transforming the classic Chinese Buddhist Canon into modern language stories so it is more accessible for everyone. It is also her plan to record the stories in audio format in public domain for those who can’t read.
