Andrew Macrae is a graduate of the inaugural Clarion South speculative fiction writers workshop in 2004.
Since then, he has had short fiction published in leading Australian speculative fiction markets such as Aurealis, Orb, Agog! Ripping Reads, Midnight Echo and Fantastical Journeys to Brisbane, edited by Zoran Živković, Geoff Maloney and Trent Jamieson.
He wrote his Masters thesis on cyberpunk science fiction and he recently completed his PhD in creative writing at Victoria University, on the topic of post-apocalyptic fiction.
His first novel Trucksong was published by Twelfth Planet Press in 2013.
He runs his own writing and editing business called Magic Typewriter in Melbourne. He likes the sound of trams.
