Jemma Tosh is the Founding Director of Psygentra, a company that provides research, training, and support on the psychology of gender and trauma. She completed her PhD on the psychology of sexual violence at Manchester Metropolitan University and she is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. Jemma was awarded the Psychology of Women Section Prize in 2011 for her PhD research and her first book was shortlisted for the British Psychological Society 2016 Book Awards.
Jemma worked in the U.K. National Health Service for several years before making the change to research and academia, having lectured and completed research at the University of Chester, Simon Fraser University, and the University of British Columbia. Her research interests span gender studies, critical psychology, health, climate change, violence and abuse, qualitative methodologies, and intersectionality. She started her own company in 2016 to offer one-to-one support to individuals and unique online training courses. She continues to write and research at the Psygentra Institute.
