Simon Weihofen

Simon was born in 1987 in Germany. He studied International Business and Management Studies in the Netherlands and achieved his Bachelor of Business Administration in 2011. As part of his bachelor studies, Simon took the opportunity to study one semester at the Keimyung University in Daegu (South Korea). Afterwards, Simon studied Sustainable Business at Manchester Metropolitan University in England and achieved the Master of Science with distinction.

In 2012, he started as PhD-student with research in the field of environmental management accounting. His PhD-thesis "Integrated Investing - How to integrate environmental impacts in investment processes of companies." was published in 2016.

Besides his studies, Simon worked for companies like KPMG, Siemens and Volkswagen. He was responsible for environmental and energy management systems at E.ON SE. Since 2017, he is Senior Program Manager Sustainability Office at ista International GmbH.

Simon is a member of the German Scouting Association (DPSG) since he is eight years old. Additional memberships comprise the Environmental and Sustainability Accounting Network (EMAN) and the German PhD-network for sustainable business professionals
