Michael Manley

Michael Manley is the pen name of authors Ken Sheldon and Stan Miastkowski. Ken Sheldon has been a freelance writer and editor for over 30 years. He was formerly the West Coast bureau chief for Byte Magazine. His writing has appeared in numerous publications ranging from Acoustic Guitar to The Old Farmer's Almanac. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where he studied, among other things, Art, English, and Biochemical Genetics. Following the death of his writing parter Stan Miastkowski, he has continued to write as Michael Manley.

Stan Miastkowski was a broadcast and print journalist for nearly 35 years. He was also a search and rescue worker who participated in dozens of rescue and recovery operations, including operations following the September 11 attacks in New York. He passed away in 2009.
