I'm one of eight women who co wrote "Just Ordinary Moms" - which was published in May 2013 and features sixteen true stories about the joys, fears, tears and sometimes abject terror of being a mother; if you think you're the "only one," think again! With sixteen kids between us ranging in age from 12 to the mid-twenties, we've seen it all! The amazing journey writing this book with seven unbelievably talented and supportive women has been life changing. The use of the word "Ordinary" in our title is tongue and cheek...we know Moms are anything but! Meeting other parents from all across the United States and Europe, listening to their stories and sharing laughter, tears and being inspired by what we like to call, "the sisterhood of motherhood" has been tremendously rewarding. I love to chat at book signings, but still feel kind of strange autographing copies of our book! Portions of our book sales go towards charities that help women and children; we are so pleased to be able to donate to worthy causes including, "Hole in the Wall Gang Camp," "Soroptimist Int'l," "Girl Rising;10 x 10 Acts" and local charities..

Our first book is the springboard to several already in progress including, "Just Ordinary Military Moms" for which we received a scholarship to help bring these important stories to life from the "Ladies Who Launch, Connecticut" and "Ladies Making History" Organizations and generously provided by WWE Co-founder and Philanthropist Linda McMahon. As with our first book and because we believe in the importance of "giving back," a portion of sales from our next book will go towards charities that assist our returning U. S. Military Members.

I am a former teacher and an Elected Official, but my favorite job of all is "Mom" to four outstanding young adults. I've been happily married for 30 years (WOW) and live in Northwestern Connecticut. My hobbies include political activism and studies, photography, reading, tennis, cooking, and traveling.
