Sandra (Sandy) Spinney Dodge grew up in a world filled with books. Her mother started her off with lots of Nancy Drew stories and books full of animals, like "Big Red" and "Black Beauty". She started drawing dogs and horses at an early age, and in more ways than one she hasn't gone far from those happy beginnings. She grew up in Maine and now, with her wonderful husband of 47 years and a sweet little Yorkie named Amethyst, splits her time between New Hampshire and Prince Edward Island. Sandy tried a lot of things before she settled down to being happy. At age 50, she earned a BS in Early Childhood Education from Granite State College. Three years later she received her Masters in Community Mental Health Counseling from New England College. Through it all, she writes and draws and works with kids.
