David W. Webber

David W. Webber is an independent scholar and attorney based in Philadelphia. He graduated with a B.A. in music from the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed course work with composers George Crumb, George Rochberg, and Richard Wernick, as well as double bass studies with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. After attending graduate school in musicology at New York University, he switched to law, going on to work as a public interest lawyer. Throughout his career, he has balanced his deep commitment to music, as an avid double bassist and more recently as a cellist, with his work in the law.
