Bruce Wallace

I am a retired former university lecturer. I originally studied and qualified as a mental health nurse before moving into teaching and became involved in both student nurse education and post-qualified staff teaching.

I have a particular interest in the area of self-harming behavior and feel very strongly that individuals are entitled to better service and support than they occasionally currently receive from the statutory agencies.

With more time on my hands now I invest much of it in our garden. Between keeping it in reasonable condition and reviewing our wildlife cameras (visitors include deer, badgers, foxes, mink, and a wide variety of bird species) it keeps me busy. This has come about as a result of our decision to move from a large town to a small rural village when we retired to enjoy a more sedate pace of life.

I have also become a little more adventurous in the DIY category but always try to be circumspect given my limited skills in this arena.
