Jan Cleijne

Jan Cleijne (1977) is illustrator and comic book artist.

As an illustrator he worked for lots of publishers, theatre productions, museums and media and in between he made several short comic strip stories, most of them without words.

In his comics he tries to express things like desire, hardship and silence, mostly in a sketchy realism with a dreamy atmosphere.

His graphic novel debut was in 2013 with 'Legends of the Tour', which has been published in many countries, including The Netherlands, France, Germany, England, Denmark, the USA and Australia. His next graphic novel will be about a young man walking the Appalachian Trail, haunted by dreams and memories.
