The Women of AngelFire novel series was written as a tribute to several of my own long-term friendships. Each of these women is from a different part of the country with varied cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and is deeply spiritual in nature. I am truly grateful to the readers who have said these characters reflect the strong, supportive relationships they have also enjoyed. Our lifelong friendships can enrich our lives in innumerable ways.

There is no meanness or backstabbing women in my books, nor good/evil relationships. Life can bring us enough challenges without creating ugliness. Empowerment - not judgment; wins every time. We learn, we grow, and we find our authentic selves.

Update on the Crossroads Series: During the writing of book three of the series, my mother passed away. She was in my care for ten years. I stopped writing because I didn't want the influence of my grief process to turn the story into something else. The writing has resumed, and I look forward to completing that series with a beautiful ending.
