Axel Schnell is a graduate literary scholar. He worked for many years as a reporting editor, was director of the Volkswagen press office in Hanover (Germany, Lower Saxony) and is now a freelance writer. His doctoral thesis on Bertolt Brecht’s Baal offers a thoroughly positive review of the Brecht annual. “This slender volume reads like an enormous Archeology of Evil.” His doctorate led him through the entire spectrum of myths, gods, devil and demons. His professional life, among others as a reporter, initiated him to the rest of humanity. Together, this knowledge culminated in a novel that opens the gates to new and passionate excavations in the Archeology of Evil. In his latest novel, "Die Hauptstadt des Teufels. Eine Hannover-Apokalypse" extends the range of fans by the Trade Association to the Punk magazine. He is living with his wife and son (all avid scuba diver) on a on a hill of the Ancients near to an old military road.
