Anthony C. Hotson is Chief Executive of Cenkos Securities plc in London. Anthony worked at the Bank of England during the 1980s, including a secondment as assistant commissioner at the newly formed Building Societies Commission. He was employed by McKinsey & Company before joining S.G. Warburg where he worked as a corporate financier and director during the 1990s. Thereafter, he has served as a non-executive director on a number of company boards in the insurance, fund management and banking sectors, as well as pursuing his academic interests. Dr Hotson was a research fellow at the Winton Institute for Monetary History, Oxford, and he is currently Deputy Director of the Centre for Financial History at Darwin College, Cambridge. His book, Respectable Banking: The Search for Stability in London’s Money and Credit Markets since 1695, has recently been published by Cambridge University Press. He chairs a charity, the Wadenhoe Trust.
