What a life. Willis Alan Ramsey once trashed his hotel shower. Ice T admitted to him that he really didn't like playing a cop. Eva Longoria asked him to teach her the song Las Manaintas.

A songwriter, author and actor, Jose Antonio Ponce began writing and performing at age 16. At 17, he sold his first song for $500.00.

Jose has worked as a roadie and tour manager for bands like Jefferson Airplane, Led Zepplin, Willie Nelson and more. All the while, Jose continued to write and sell music to artists and write commercial jingles. He toured with anyone who would have him.

In 1979, he was cast in a TV mini-series and he has taken work as an actor in film and TV including Paul, Frontera, Better Call Saul, Sicario, Spare Parts, Graves, Messiah, Nightshift and more and he still takes the occasional acting gig.

Jose has worked as a radio personality, a record promoter, actor, film maker, music producer and more. In 1990, he joined the national touring folk group The Windsor Creek Trio and continues to tour with the band as its bassist. He has also been a stand up comic, a writer and, of course, a songwriter and musician.
