Paul W. Powell

Dr. Paul W. Powell (1933-2016) pastored several growing churches in over six decades of ministry, including 17 years at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas. He is the former dean of George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University and also served as the president and chief executive officer of the Annuity Board of the Southern Baptist Convention (now Guidestone Financial Resources). He will be greatly missed and was a friend to all.
