Cathy Plourde's plays and video script writing for social change, health & wellness, and difficult dialog has traveled the US under Add Verb Productions, and she's presented on this work internationally at colleges, conferences, and trainings.

Book publications include Out & Allied: :

An Anthology of Performance Pieces Written by LGBTQ Youth & Allies (Vol 1, 2011; Vol. 2, 2014) Making Out Like a Virgin: Sex, Desire & Intimacy After Sexual Trauma, co-edited with Catriona McHardy (2016).

The Thin Line (a play on coping with eating disorders) started touring in 1999 and You the Man (a play addressing bystanders regarding dating abuse and sexual violence began touring in 2001. Both scripts have been withheld from publication and licensing until 2017.

She works as a consultant, editor, writer, & educator and recently repatriated with her wife in Rhode Island, after two years in the UK. Workshop and speaking engagements provide participants with a look into the potential power and avoidable pitfalls of writing for social change.
