Gerald A. Sharp holds a Master's Degree in Education and has taught people of a variety of ages and backgrounds for over 30 years. He has co-authored, compiled, and translated books and created instructional videos on T'ai Chi, Xingyi, Bagua, and Chi Kung. His advice for appreciating discovery and benefitting from practice is, "It probably took me, at least, ten years to realize that I could relax to move with the least amount of effort, and, likewise, move to relax (even when standing still). It was then, that I discovered my chi. Further, when I realized that the effectiveness and precision of my essence could be enhanced by utilizing my center, and the central point between myself and others, I was able to use my chi. The latter is still a work in progress, and well worth the daily dedication to practice."
