Ulysses Arctos Gyas

Ulysses is an Alaskan grizzly bear currently living in the Chugach National Forest. He took the name Ulysses after reading classical Roman mythology in his pursuit to learn English, as the character's suffering reminded him of his own trials in pursuit of higher education.

The children's book "Ursa Major, the Bear who studied Philosophy" is his romanticized autobiography.
