After being forced to use Twitter by a college professor, Brittany soon found herself "Leaning" into the social media site for good.
Since then, she's directly managed social media strategy and execution for brands such as HubSpot, Vermont Teddy Bear, PajamaGram, and Hoodie-Footie -- developing an obsession for driving real business results through Twitter along the way. She believes that Twitter is a tool beyond personal enjoyment —it connects students with teachers, organizations with donors, job seekers with employers, and so much more.
In addition to managing the day-to-day social media strategy and execution for HubSpot (a B2B company with over a million social media followers), Brittany also led a Social Command Center of 20+ people at INBOUND, an annual marketing and sales conference. During the event, the official hashtag received “trending” status in the United States over 4 consecutive days with 80,000 total mentions.
Brittany has guest lectured about social media and inbound marketing at the Robert P. Stiller School of Business at Champlain College (where she is an alum), Bentley University, and Boston University. She has also written numerous social media articles, ebooks, and studies for HubSpot’s 1.2 million readers and contributes quarterly posts to Twitter’s own Small Business blog.
