Kevin J. Parham

Kevin J. Parham is an author and a professional musician. Raised in West Medford, Massachusetts, he graduated from Medford High School and attended Salem State College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

For most of his adult life, Kevin pursued music as a vocation. He was fortunate to have traveled extensively and performed with an array of talented musicians, musical groups, and vocalists.

Kevin was the bassist for the R&B group, Rhythm, which released a single on Polydor Records and an album on RCA Records. He also collaborated on several recording projects, including releases on Sussex Records and Critique Records.

Kevin's literary aspirations blossomed later in life when the desire to express himself through the written word seemed to appear from out of nowhere. This once-latent ability to string words together and form a cohesive story was born from many personal experiences. As a result, Kevin not only finds joy in sharing his stories with others, but also feels a unique kind of satisfaction that can only be realized through self-expression.

Kevin is the author of five books:

'The Vineyard We Knew—A Recollection of Summers on Martha's Vineyard' (Memoir)

'Keeper of the East Bluff Light' (Whodunit murder mystery)

'Westville' (Autobiographical novel)

'M/V Islander—Resurrection' (Novella)

‘Orange Line to Forest Hills’ (Historical Fiction) - Coming in Summer 2026
