Shane Brown

Shane is the author of the "Norfolk Ghost Stories" series of novels, set on the idyllic Norfolk coast during the summers of 1943 and 1945, as well as the popular "Ghost Stories for Christmas" series, the fifth volume of which will be published in 2025. Both series are a homage to the traditional English ghost story. He has also written detailed "Listener's Guides" to the music of Bobby Darin and Elvis Presley, and a book on classical music is due for release in 2026. Shane has a PhD, with his research centring on LGBTQ characters in film from 1894 to 1993. This work was turned into a book, "Queer Sexualities in Early Film," published by Bloomsbury, and a covid lockdown video project, "A Queer Romance," available on YouTube. His other books include the irreverent fantasy "The Successor;" the old-school horror novel "Welcome to Marlington;" and three LGBTQ young adult novels, "Breaking Point," "Breaking Down," and "A Ghost of a Chance."
