Kevin Thornton is a seven time Arthur Ellis Award Nominee. He is a former director of the local Heritage Society and Library, and he has been a soldier in Africa, a contractor for the Canadian Military in Afghanistan, a newspaper and magazine columnist, a Director of both the Crime Writers of Canada and the Writers' Guild of Alberta, a founding member of Northword Literary Magazine, and is either a current or former member of the Mystery Writers of America, the Crime Writers Association, The Calgary Crime Writers, the International Thriller Writers, the International Association of Crime Writers, the Keys - a Catholic Writers group founded by Monsignor Knox and G.K.
