An avid book lover from the time I was a young child, it seemed normal for me to begin writing little stories as soon as I was able to hold a pencil and print the alphabet. While most kids shunned the dreaded "I want you to write an essay" directive from their teachers, I enjoyed, and excelled at, those writing assignments. This love for writing developed into a career as a public relations and editorial executive for a major U.S. airline, with my base in Miami.
It seemed that I always had a notepad handy...jotting down thoughts and story ideas. In my spare time, my fingers would be flying over a keyboard as I let my creative thoughts flow out my fingertips, or I would be reading all sorts of books, from fiction to history.
I grew up in South Florida and still live here to this day. The history of Florida has always interested me, including Henry Flagler and his hotels and railroads and interests in Standard Oil. Using Florida as the setting for some of my stories and intertwining the history of Florida within my plots allows me to share my love of the state with my readers.
I'm looking forward to finishing and finessing and having more of my novels published.
