Lon Cole started writing poetry when he came home from serving the U.S. Navy/Marines in Vietnam many years ago to help with his PTSD, but he started writing again after his diagnosis with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease, just a few short years ago. Lon's inspirational poems have been a great coping mechanism in dealing with his own upsetting diagnosis, as well as a way for him to reach others that are dealing with their own difficult times.
