Karla Smith

Karla manages site selection for national retailers such as Target and Cabela’s in Texas; and Sprouts Farmers Market, Pacific Dental and United Health Group in Dallas/Ft Worth. In 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 Karla was named one of the “best commercial real estate brokers in Dallas” by D CEO and has received multiple UCR Top Ten Awards. She is a Partner at UCR and is involved in ICSC, CREW, and serves on the NTCAR Board of Directors and as Retail Committee Chair. Karla is a founding member of Deals in Heels, a local group of women in retail real estate that encourages the empowerment and collaboration of women in the industry. Outside of the industry, Karla enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends; participating in outdoor activities, cooking and entertaining. She also actively participates in community service organizations and volunteers her time with the North Texas Food Bank, The Stewpot, Meals on Wheels and is involved in the National Charity League.
