Iapetus Ducq

Mark Vedder trained and worked as an architect in Boston prior to moving to South Central Pennsylvania where he initially was hired to design, construct and landscape a large single family home located on a five acre urban lot. He successfully completed that project and continued through several other design/construction projects. Eventually Mark recognized an opportunity and started a business serving the home builder and home renovation market as a manufacturer and supplier of otherwise unavailable architectural details such as wooden switch plates. The small business had a stable market niche and continued until Mark decided to pursue new interests while one of his brothers took over the business. Mark continues to investigate areas where innovation and research result in unique designs.

Mark continues his work combining a variety of disciplines, including: architectural, building, design (fine art, graphic, literary, mechanical, structural), translating,woodworking, and writing.
