Andrew Casey

Andrew Casey was born, and still lives, in Chingford in East London.

For many years he worked in a nationwide retail services company, eventually becoming a director before leaving to start his own business. But the love of writing remained within him and in 2006, he decided to sell his business to concentrate on doing what he loves most - writing poetry.

He has been inspired by the power of the written word to move people from the inertia of modern life into the escapism of verse. Poems can be simple, sad, funny, sombre, or thought-provoking, but all can capture the imagination.

His interests, besides walking his dog and writing poetry, include history, with particular favourite periods being the Middle Ages, the Wars of the Roses and the Plantagenets, and Charles II and the Restoration.
