Ruth VanDyke

Ruth VanDyke is one of the early female ROTC graduates. Commissioned as a U.S. Army Chemical officer in the late seventies, she served 22 years on active duty, followed by another two decades contributing to the defense of our nation against weapons of mass destruction. Prior to retiring to write full time, she served as a liaison officer from the Joint Staff, to U.S. Special Operations Command in Tampa, Florida. Ruth has recently joined the faculty of the Osher Life Long Learning Institute at the University of South Florida and is very active in numerous community activities and volunteer organizations. Her husband is a retired Chemical Corps Officer.
