Grace Dale co-authored "My Days with Princess Grace of Monaco" with her mother, Joan Dale. Together they recorded Joan's memoirs of her 25-year friendship with Princess Grace, which began soon after Grace Kelly left Hollywood to marry Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
Grace Dale was named after her godmother, Princess Grace. Although Grace was only 15 when Princess Grace passed away, she has vivid memories of spending wonderful times with her in New York and at the Palace of Monaco, and celebrating her 13th birthday with her godmother for several days at their private ranch of Rocagel.
Since the tragic death of Grace Kelly, many untruths have been written about her by people who never knew her, repeating each other's "research" until it has become accepted as fact. Grace Dale's mother was one of Princess Grace's closest friends, who was with her on their last family vacation just the month before she died.
"My family has always kept this relationship very private, but the outrageous portrayals of both Princess Grace and Prince Rainier in the Grace of Monaco movie have compelled me to set the record straight with a behind-the-scenes account of what their life together was really like at the Palace of Monaco, from the perspective of those closest to them."
