Sam C. Eggertsen graduated from medical school in 1976 and from family medicine residency in 1979. He then served 3 years in the Air Force stationed at Beale Air Force Base in California after which returned to Seattle and the University of Washington. He was a member of the faculty in the department of family medicine at the University of Washington for 21 years. In 2003, he left the university to work for a community health center until retirement in 2018.
Sam has always loved science fiction and Shakespeare, and has studied Shakespeare extensively.
