Jim Saunders

Born in Hillingdon, Middlesex, I grew up in Slough, but made good my escape long ago. I lived and/or worked in Norfolk, Nottinghamshire, Cheshire and West Yorkshire before settling on the border between England and Wales, where I have enjoyed a long association with Offa's Dyke and the Offa's Dyke Path, the subject of two of my books.

I am both writer and photographer and my principal subjects are landscape, nature and place.
