Amanda Jayne Gilmer

Amanda Jayne Gilmer is 46 years old and has two sons and two grandchildren . She worked as a mental health nurse for 11 years and all 3 books in the Life , memoriies and dreams trilogy reflect this . Many topical health issues and life in general are tackled in these three books .Life .memories and dreams 2 and 3 are to be published early 2015 . In book 2 she has been more explicit about her experience of mental ill health , although all 3 books reflect this . It is hoping to illustrate there is life after mental breakdown . Enabling her to put into words and explain the unexplainable through poetry . In book 3 she covers some very topical and sensitive issues relating to men . Men do not have a femenist movement highlighting concerns and issues in their lives , There is no coordinated approach . The authour highlights how women should be both concerned and some issues are directly related to womens issues

Love features heavily in all her work , in Love Hate Infatuation Betrayal she explores the realms of romantic love . It is rooted in personal experience and observations in life

The Colours of Life , seasonal gifts is a celebration of the human spirit , faith , forgiveness and the human family . The authours inspiration for writing this book was her childhood , family , faith and the changing seasons .

Forthcoming books , The Reapers Soul and The majical path both explore the main charachters descent into insanity and their struggle with everyday life . The Life, memories and dreams series is not wholly about her mental illness as the illness is part of who she is not the whole of who she is . She has differing life experience .

The reapers soul is a selection of poems weaved into a story , whereas The majical path is purely a novel . She hopes both books generate compassion for those suffering the devastating impact of mental illness
