Harish Kumar is a former business and financial journalist with an exposure to the printed word for more than two decades. Committed to sharp writing, editing, analysing and commenting, Harish Kumar has served most of the leading business dailies, fortnightlies and dot-coms in India.

As an Indie author, Harish Kumar is noted for his rare insight into Indian linguistic quirks and eccentricities, language thoughts and philosophy, linguistic attitudes and approaches. Being a keen observer of the English language and the interesting twists and turns it takes in modern-day journalism, Harish Kumar has ended up becoming an Anglophile himself, a lover of words to begin with and now a commentator on words and on their idiosyncrasies.

Harish Kumar loves writing on transformation of words, new avatars in usage of words and the rampant abusage of simple words today, particularly when the writer-speaker tries to employ them as word-metaphors. Thus, you can say Harish Kumar is an incorrigible metaphorist. He is also an accomplished commentator on journalese of the times.

Harish Kumar also loves writing fiction on human interest themes, besides authoring original works in areas of business, banking and finance.

As a relentlessly pen-pushing scribe, Harish Kumar has authored more than 1,500 business, banking and finance stories, many of them dealing with trend-setting themes in these domains. He has even produced some globally-acclaimed ranking lists, such as the the most cash-rich companies and the most investor-friendly companies. Some of these lists have taken him to the pages of the prestigious International Who's Who of Professionals (1998) and the Baron's Who's Who in Global Banking and Finance (1999).

Harish Kumar is now a self-publishing author on the Amazon (Amazon KDP and Amazon CreateSpace) and the Smashwords platforms. Launching his second writing career only recently in 2013, Harish Kumar has authored and self-published as many as eight titles already.
