Penny Meakin

Penny Meakin is originally from the East End of London and now lives and works on the edge of the Peak District in Staffordshire, where she has a passion for gardening, writing, running, philately and dabbles in art; making pictures out of English postage stamps, under the name Penny Stamp Artist - check out www.pennystampartist.com to see her many creations.

Penny is married with a large family and has recently retired from teaching at a local University, where she spent over twenty happy years entertaining and teaching teenagers. Penny now enjoys working as 'Penny Stamp Artist' and continues to write. She is currently writing a book about her many experiences in Further Education, based on her time at a local college of Further Education. This 'fly on the wall' novel is a comedy and names have been changed to protect the innocent!
