Michael C. LeMay

Michael C. LeMay (1941 - date) is a retired university professor who for 35 years taught at several U.S. universities, and has lived and taught in Japan. The grandson of French Canadian and German immigrants, he has long been interested in the subject of U.S. immigration. He has authored 23 academic books, a dozen of which concern the history of U.S. immigration and U.S. immigration policy. His books are analytical, not prescriptive or arguing for a particular policy position. He is a frequent public speaker on the subject. He has received awards for his teaching, university administrative service, and professional scholarship.
