Larry Pivnick

Supreme Corruption, the sequel to The Kilgore Curse, is the second legal thriller by Larry Pivnick in the Frank McNamara series. His books have been favorably compared to those of John Grisham, Robin Cook and Nelson DeMille. They are the culmination of Pivnick's multifaceted education, extensive experience, peripatetic travel and unfettered imagination.

Though he became a novelist late in his career, he’s been writing all his life. In medical school (MD, Toronto, 1971), Pivnick wrote scientific papers and short stories for amusement. During law school (JD, SMU, 1993), he wrote court briefs and tinkered with novels. In 2007, he graduated from SMU’s Creative Writing Program and rekindled his passion for fiction.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Dr. Pivnick immigrated to the U.S. in 1977. After five years of medical practice in Toronto, he practiced family medicine in Dallas for another thirty-seven years and law for twenty. He retired recently to write fiction full time, and still lives in Dallas with Linda, his wife of forty-six years. They have two grown children, four extraordinary grandchildren and three mischievous grand-dogs. They love to travel and play golf, though to his eternal bemusement, Linda is still the better golfer.
