Ron H. Rader

Ron Rader is a Tennessee native, born and raised in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains . During his teen and college summers ,his growing up adventures and early learning experiences were more than electric . Among his various after school and summer jobs he was an Eagle scout, a drive-in theater carhop, boxer, trapper, Gatlinburg hotel bellhop, construction helper, family grocery store delivery boy and gopher, retail clerk , forester and firefighter in Yellowstone and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park; and logger in the Wenatchee Valley of Washington. Earning BS and MS degrees at UTK, he served four years active service as a US naval officer, later retiring from US Naval ?Reserve as a Commander of 24 years. Following the Navy , Ron served as a consultant to business and industry as an outreach of the University of Tennessee. Currently, he is a commercial real estate advisor for NAI Koella - RM Moore , Sevierville office. His rich experiences resulting from consulting with major organizations and their managers and employees prompted him to write his books.

In New York in May, his first book - The Blue Mountains Sing of rivers,old men, trails and trout was awarded the 2014 IPPY silver medal for - SOUTH: BEST NON FICTION presented by The Independent Publishers Association.

Ron launched is second and latest book November of 2019. Daniel Meets the Spirit of the Bear - the children's book for everyone. Written for all ages from 6 to 90. Uniquely illustrated and written for the entire family, Daniel's journey is filled with values and virtues designed to inspire, motivate and create positive change in our youth.
