Katherine Crosby

Katherine Crosby (1989-) was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and grew up in Portage, Michigan. Currently a PhD student at the University of South Carolina in the History Department, Katherine Crosby worked with her coauthor Andrei Markovits to write From Property to Family: American Dog Rescue and the Discourse of Compassion while at the University of Michigan, from which she graduated in 2011 with a BA in Political Science. In addition to writing about dog rescue, Katherine is the proud parent of a rescue dog named Stella, an Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle mix.
