Michele Muska lives in North Central CT with her family. She is a woman who loves all things creative. Like all of her art work, Michele strongly believes in working in the moment, and quilting is no different. She enjoys the process of creating as much as the end result. That is what Michele believes her new book "Quilting the new classics" will do for her readers. Her hope is for them to take liberties in the creative process once they learn the basics. It is also why she gave the designers in her book free reign to design a quilt based on the pattern they were given.
Michele started her company, LolaRae (her mom's and her middle names) to showcase her fanciful creations. She loves to garden and cook and couldn't be more proud to have her "Midsummers Night Dream" pie grace the front cover of Jo Packham's book Pieogrpahy.
She made her first quilt at the age of 9 using fabric from her mothers stash at random and seems to have continued this creative process till today. Michele speaks in textures and lives, creates and works in a colorful world where fibers and textiles tell her story. She believes in the promise of every day, and the potential in a simple scrap of fabric.
