Robert W. Stock

Robert W. Stock is a writer/editor of articles, magazines, and books. A 30-year veteran of The New York Times, he was editor in charge of the Travel, Week in Review, and Sunday Business & Financial sections. He wrote frequently for those and other Times sections and created a pioneering column about issues affecting the elderly.

Since retiring from The Times, he has been a ghostwriter of management books for such authors as James Champy, Fred Wiersema, and John Kao. He has co-authored medical books for Oxford University Press. He has written corporate newsletters for such clients as MetLife.

Stock's essays have been published on Internet sites, and he has continued to write occasional articles for The Times. He has most recently, at age 95, published a memoir. He has had two wives and two children and has an abiding interest in sports and classical music.
