Cameron Macauley

Cameron Macauley was born in Washington DC. After getting degrees in anthropology, psychology, and medical science, he spent almost two decades overseas working in disaster relief and international health. Subsequently he studied public health and specialized in the treatment of psychological trauma in survivors of war-related violence. He currently teaches at James Madison University.

During his career he has worked in a refugee camp in Thailand, a besieged city in Angola, a Yanomami Indian village in Brazil, and a mission hospital in Sumatra. His first novel, CITADEL OF ICE, was the completion of a novel his father Robie Macauley had been working on at his death in 1995.

His second novel, THE TALISMAN CHILD, is the first book of The Golden Child Trilogy. The second volume of the trilogy, THE FOREST OF REGRETS, was published in 2015, and the third volume, THE WARRIOR DEAD, was completed in 2016.
