P.E. Bedell is a Research Scientist who began her career in the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun India in 1961 in her maiden name of P.G.Pattanath (Prema Gopalan Pattanath) to work on the taxonomy of Bamboos. After that she has worked on a number of national level and international projects such as the FAO project of DANIDA known as Indo Danish Project on Seed Procurement and Tree Improvement which had its Head Quarters in Hyderabad, and field centers in Dehradun in Uttarkhand, Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, and Coimbatore in Tamilnadu. After the completion of the Project she was transferred to Coimbatore as Head of the Department of Seed Science and Technology, of the Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding-- a branch of ICFRE. During her career she has participated in a number of Forestry Conferences, symposiums, and workshops and has 45 research papers to her credit mostly in her maiden name of P.G Pattanath. She took voluntary retirement in 1992 and spent her retirement period in writing some much needed text books in Forestry. She has published three books (1)Taxonomy of Bamboos published by APC Publishers New Delhi 1997. (2) Seed Science and Technology of Indian Forestry Species published by Allied Publishers Ltd New Delhi 1998. (3) Tree Breeding for Genetic Improvement of Tropical Tree Species published by Allied Publishers Ltd New Delhi 2006.After these publications by Traditional Publishers who took 3 t0 7 years after signing the Memorandum of Agreement for the different books, she decided to try Amazon Create Space Self Publishing to publish her other books; and ebooks on KDP. The subject of her research this time was on controversial and misunderstood subjects like the origin of life,creation and evolution of life-forms, death and reincarnation and the objective of reincarnation in humans, which gives us an inkling of the direction and objective of our lives on this earth. She has written two books along with a coauthor(1)"The Great Eternal Truths", (2) "Perceptions or Reality and Social Consequences". The third one which needed more research called"Individual Human Souls Before and After Death"she wrote as a single author. As these were heavy subjects she took a break and wrote a book on forestry and environment called "Landscaping Urban Wastelands in India" as a single author. Wastelands create a lot of environmental problems including hastening of climate change and therefore a solution to this problem is required for environment protection.
