Calum Johnson

Calum Johnson has always had a passion for History and Language. He studied History & French, Journalism, and Translation at universities in Durham, Salford, and Manchester respectively, and wrote his first book, 'Athens in the Classical Period', with two friends while at secondary school.

A keen Francophile, his passion for French History led him to the Campaign Journal of Pierre-Francois Percy, a surgeon in the French Army during the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Campaigns. The culmination of several years studying Percy, translation theory, and the history of the Napoleonic conflicts, 'A Surgeon in Napoleon's Grande Armée' was published in hardback by Pen&Sword Books in Spring 2024.
