Robert Joseph Dimaggio

Wanting to write this while still lucid. Born on August 15, 1939 in New London, Connecticut, DiMaggio led a terrific life, had the best parents, a great brother and sister. Years later to come also marrying the girl of his dreams, Francine. He was involved in the music business for over 60 years and during that time, he was also a professional accountant. He has always focused more on ‘My Message in the Music’ project, entitled “A Special Tribute to America,” including the three special songs he wrote “Peace on Earth”, “Our Missing Children” and “So Please Give With Me”. Also, refer to Mr. DiMaggio’s heartfelt ”Thank You and 3 wishes” displayed at the beginning of his book. All his music projects and the video project were (100%) for charitable organizations. He entertained many veterans and also performed at many children’s hospitals, playing the accordion and singing. It was his fondest wish to be a professional baseball player and follow the footsteps of his cousin Joe DiMaggio. He has two daughters Lisa and Gina, five grandchildren Jason, Jennifer, Amanda, Shaun and Kyle and a great granddaughter on the way.

Over the 60 years while in the Music and Entertainment business, I have written thousands of letters, and I have included only a few, of which are displayed throughout various chapters of my book. These letters were in reference to some of the record projects that I produced over the years as a songwriter and the Executive Producer and owner of my Record Company and Publishing Companies; RJD Records, DiMaggio Publishing Company (ASCAP), Top 40 Hits Music Publishing Company (BMI) and RJD Productions. Also, these letters were mailed to and received from many special friends, entertainers, business owners, Record producers and other companies, and including some letters sent to and received from Politicians, all of which you may find of interest.

My book includes some special dreams I’ve had since my beloved Francine passed away – displayed throughout various chapters of my book.

Also, in my book, you will notice that I have experienced in my lifetime many special situations and incidents. One special incident in particular occurred over twenty-eight years ago, when I was forty-five years old. I had a seizure, and my heart stopped for about two minutes. You often heard of the expression of “seeing the light”. Well I did. I went through this lighted tunnel and saw some of my loved ones and friends who passed away. Most of them were smiling, and not a word was spoken. It happened so fast – for details, please refer to Chapter 17 for the completion of this unbelievable true story. This experience that I actually witnessed, compelled me to complete that promise I made when I was a teenager, and to finish ‘My Message in the Music’ project, entitled “A Special Tribute to America”, including the three songs that I wrote, “Peace on Earth”, “Our Missing Children”, and “So Please Give With Me”, and other commitments as well.

My beloved Francine had many unquestionable talents – she also was a great movie critic and knew her movies and actors. Over the years, we purchased thousands of VHS and DVD’s, which included all the movie stars that Francine considered to be the best in the entertainment business. A list of those actors, actresses and television shows are included under chapter 9, entitled “Some of My Wife’s Favorite Movie Actors and Television Shows”.

Additionally, over the years, while in the Music and Entertainment business, in my book, I have included some of my special record projects displayed throughout various chapters of my book. However, my four-best projects that I produced as Executive Producer of my companies are summarized as follows: My first-best project was ‘My Message in the Music’, entitled “A Special Tribute to America”, including the three special songs I wrote: “Peace on Earth”, was for all the veterans and nurses of the armed services that ultimately gave their lives so gallantly while they were serving in wartime for our country so we could be free. “Our Missing Children”, was for the “National Center for Missing and Exploited Children” – to find “Our Missing Children” and bring them home as quickly and safely as humanly possible. “So Please Give With Me”, was for the “Nathan Adelson Hospice” and other Hospices throughout the United States of America – to help cure the ill, and not the least, to make these special people strong and brave during their illness. My second-best project included two special songs that I wrote for my beloved wife Francine Veronica DiMaggio, entitled “I’ll Love You Till the End of Time” and “Because You’re Special to Me”. My third-best project was the extended Compact Disc version of my song entitled “Peace on Earth”, including a sixteen-page insert. My fourth-best project was the song entitled “Sexy Lady” recorded by the original Fabulous Four Tops. This Compact Disc project included a twenty-four page insert. Please note that some copies of the compact discs, records, cassettes and inserts are displayed on various chapters of my book.

Throughout my life, I’ve had a very exciting, interesting, inspiring, remarkable, pleasant, enjoyable, and not the least, a very foregoing life. Of course, I’ve had my fair share of disappointments, but I always “Thought Positive” so that I could continue with my important commitments and journey through life, and I always felt, undoubtedly that “I was the luckiest man in the world”.

Also, under my chapter 12, entitled “Hurricanes, Earthquakes, and Other Devastating Experiences”, I commented on Nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction, missiles and other destructive materials that will eventually destroy the earth and kill millions of innocent people worldwide; the unforgettable tyranny of terrorism incident on September 11, 2001, the north and south Twin towers at Ground Zero, about 110 stores each at the World Trade Center in New York City, killing thousands of brave citizens of the United States of America, including our brave New York firefighters and police officers who were all heroes of this unfortunate and unforgettable tragedy; also on that day at the World Trade Center, American Airlines Flight 11, with eighty-one brave passengers and eleven crew members, crashed into the north tower; United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the south tower and the American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, DC – This tragedy on September 11, 2001 at Ground Zero in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, DC will always be remembered and considered as the worst devastation in United States history; the brave firefighters who lost their lives in a fire while protecting their friends and neighbors which occurred on June 30, 2013 in Yarnell, Arizona, also, my comments on “what’s happening to our earth”, and many more devastations and other comments discussed under this chapter of importance.
