Rob Cherville

Rob Cherville currently lives in East Cheshire, UK. His love of writing goes right back to primary school, where he would write long stories to entertain his classmates. When working overseas, he wrote a history of the Island of St Helena for use in the island's schools. It was here that his interest in maritime history was born. Returning to the UK, he turned his historical research into a novel of eighteenth century warfare and intrigue, which first introduced him to ancestors of James Montrayne. It is the Montrayne family which now figures largely in the Broken Chains trilogy. His varied career includes Primary School Headteacher, Sales and Marketing Director and Church Pastor. All of these elements are reflected in his writing.
