Matt Basile

Matt Basile and his partner Kyla Zanardi are the co-creators of the Penguin Canada published cookbook Street Food Diaries back in 2014, and are the co-creators of the upcoming title Brunch Life, coming September 2018. Together they are partners in the Toronto based street food company, Fidel Gastro's, home to one of Canada's most recognizable food truck brands and trendy Queen Street West eateries, Lisa Marie. Matt is the host of Rebel Without A Kitchen, available on Netflix international, and was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for his work on the show. Kyla, a food photographer and digital content producer by trade develops and manages the Fidel Gastro YouTube page which offers a wide variety of food content.
