Robert Thibodeau

Robert Thibodeau, known to audiences as Pastor Bob, is an ordained minister, author, broadcaster, and Christian media entrepreneur. His background includes military service, entrepreneurship, law enforcement leadership, Christian broadcasting, podcasting, publishing, and ministry.

Robert served 12 years in the United States Army, including nine years as an enlisted soldier, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant, followed by three years as a commissioned Cavalry Officer. During his military career, he also spent more than three years on Drill Sergeant status, logging thousands of hours of platform instruction and helping train more than 1,000 soldiers.

Following his military service, Robert entered the life insurance industry, where he built and managed a successful agency and sales team. He later pursued his longtime goal of becoming a police officer, advanced into supervisory positions, and retired as a law enforcement supervisor in 2011.

Ministry has also played a significant role throughout his adult life. Robert answered the call to ministry in the 1990s and was ordained in 2001. His ministry experience has included preaching, teaching, Christian broadcasting, interviewing ministry leaders, and working with pastors and Christian communicators.

Robert’s involvement in Christian broadcasting began in 2009, when he started experimenting with what he called a “weekly online radio program.” He later learned that the format he had created was known as a podcast.

Within months, Robert was approached by a national Christian radio syndicate and offered a nationwide AM radio program. While learning the traditional radio business, he became interested in the possibilities of using internet broadcasting to distribute Christian programming.

That interest led him to establish Evangelism Radio. The station grew rapidly and, within its first 15 months, achieved the top ranking in its Christian Talk category on ShoutCast.

Robert later created and hosted the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast, producing more than 1,600 episodes and conducting more than 1,200 interviews. His guests included pastors, missionaries, authors, entrepreneurs, ministry leaders, musicians, and other people of faith.

His experience in Christian media eventually expanded from radio and podcasting into streaming television. He founded a Christian streaming television network focused on programming from churches, ministries, Bible teachers, podcasters, and other Christian communicators.

Robert has written numerous Christian and business books. He also created a Bible Study Guide and Bible Study Leader’s Guide to accompany Rev. Terry A. Christian’s book, What Did Jesus Say? Seven Messages From the Master. Their ministry work together has placed particular emphasis on studying the words of Jesus and encouraging believers to examine their faith in light of His teachings.

Robert and his wife have two grown daughters and seven grandchildren. His experiences in family life, military service, business, law enforcement, ministry, broadcasting, and writing have provided much of the background and perspective reflected in his work.
